On behalf of its members, GBA has been engaged in Ga. EPD’s stakeholder discussions about the proposed changes to the Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA) regulations – most of which involve adjustments to risk reduction standards (RRS) for soil and groundwater.
GBA has evaluated, with support from our members, and engaged EPD on the key changes.
On June 14, GBA held a discussion about:
- why EPD is pursuing such regulation changes;
- what’s being proposed, and how it might affect the timeliness and feasibility of moving sites through the Brownfield Program, HSRA, and the Voluntary Remediation Program;
- GBA’s investment and involvement throughout the process, and its recommendations; and
- what’s ahead with this important issue.
